Pinkies Collections: Matte Trio Color Eye Shadow in MTCE-02

While I was looking for an eyelash curler I saw these eyeshadow refills in the shades I've been wanting to have and those colors are in orange, brown and light brown. These were priced at P70.00 and then the saleslady suggested if I would like to buy the one in a set then I checked it out and it had the two colors I picked up except for the light brown but the set had black instead which I also need for using as eyeliner so I picked up this set and below are the swatches and my opinions.

What I love about this product is that it's very pigmented that the orange is too bright when you put too much but I love this as I put shimmer eyeshadow on top of this orange and blend it to lighten it a bit. I think it lasts all day because when I first tried it the orange has left a stain even if I removed it with makeup remover. Second time I wore the orange is with a primer underneath and it's still there from 10am to around 2 or 3pm til I removed it with my makeup remover. You can see on the back of my hand that it's very pigmented. I didn't use any primer and I just swiped it once.

Also a good thing about this is that the production date and expiry date is printed in the box.

Do I recommend this? Definitely yes!

Will I buy this again? Yes, in fact I'm gonna buy the light brown and maybe the orange and brown too in refill so I could put it in my palette.

Where to buy: I only found this brand at Watson's Pacita Branch. I checked at SM Sta. Rosa to buy the refill and I couldn't find this there. :(

How to make eye primer ;)

I've been wanting to try eye primers but let's admit they're expensive and you don't know if it works until you try it. So, I decided to search for ways to make your own eye primer. I saw some that uses thick lotion or body butter, liquid foundation and liquid concealer but I don't want to put lotion or body butter on my eye coz it's for the body and I thought it might irritate my eyes when it melts when I sweat. So, I realized I have a face primer and liquid concealer so I decided to try before I spend on an eye primer. I only used 2 items in my makeup drawer and those are:

-L'oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
-Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer in Light/Medium

I just mixed in a small container equal parts of the primer and concealer then I add a little more concealer to make it thick or so it would have more color so the eyeshadow would pop more.

I suggest you use liquid concealer so it's easy to mix and there won't be clumps.

Hope you like this and let me know how it goes if you tried this!

I haven't tried if it creases but I'm thinking it won't because of the thickness of the concealer and it's Colorstay so I have faith in it but I'll update here how it goes and how long it lasts.

My First MAC Cosmetics Makeup!!! :)

So I wanna share my first MAC Cosmetics makeup and short review about it! These were bought at Duty Free Ph.

Fix+ (100ml/$20):
I love the scent and I love to use this after applying powder foundation to avoid cakiness/flakiness. I love to use this to freshen up my face and to blot oil during the day.


Paint Pot in Groundwork ($21):
I love that this doesn't crease on my eyelids and stays put and doesn't smudge but I don't think it makes my eyeshadow last longer coz I think it dries quickly when I apply it on my lids so the eyeshadow doesn't stick much but I love wearing this alone as I said it's smudgeproof. I also don't like that this dries up fast so what I do is I put a small amount in a separate container for everyday use so my big pot won't dry up quickly.

Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark (for contour) ($34):
I love using this to contour my cheeks and nose. Can't say much about this coz As I said I only use this for contour. Don't think it gives me breakout.

Lip Erase in Dim ($25):
So, I have mixed feelings about this. I've been wanting to buy this for so long and kinda feel disappointed coz it mixes with my lipstick when I apply it. A little/tiny bit goes a long way to erase lips and to let it dry before you apply lipstick over it. I don't hate it but I won't be repurchasing this again. Don't use this very much that I even forget to use it to erase my birthmark under my lower lip.

Lip Pencil in In Synch ($16):
Don't use this much but I like using this to outline my lips to erase pigmentation or to highlight my cupid's bow. It doesn't last long as a lipliner and when I apply lip product over it doesn't stay put so I wanna try the pro longwear one coz I swatched it and it doesn't smudge. I can't find the one I swatched so I ended up getting this but it's still okay.

Quick review of this product: I like it and the eyeshadow pigmentation is good. It will look better with a good eye primer. Affordable. Please refer to pictures.

Will I repurchase: Yes, I like the color pay-off so I wanna try other palettes. Cheaper than buying high-end. Just buy a good eye primer and you're all set!
